Thoubal College organized a three-day Induction Programme for its incoming undergraduate students of the 2026–27 batch, held from July 7 to July 9, 2026, across all 16 departments.
Day 1 – General Induction (July 7)
The programme opened with a formal welcome to the new batch. The Principal addressed students on the college's history, values, and academic expectations, followed by an overview of examination rules, attendance policy, and grievance-redressal mechanisms. Sessions on student support services — library, hostel, and counselling facilities — were also conducted, along with an interactive session introducing student clubs and societies to help newcomers settle in.
Day 2 – Departmental Induction (July 8)
Students reported to their respective departments, where Heads of Department and faculty members welcomed them and outlined the curriculum, course structure, and credit requirements for their programmes. Each of the 16 departments conducted dedicated orientation sessions, including introductions to faculty, academic mentorship groups, and department-specific laboratories and facilities.
Day 3 – Campus Tour (July 9)
The final day featured a guided tour of the college campus. Students, divided into small groups, visited the library, classrooms, laboratories, hostel facilities, and the sports complex, helping them familiarise themselves with the campus before regular classes began. The programme concluded with a closing address and a group photograph.
The three-day induction gave the incoming batch a well-rounded introduction to academic life, departmental structure, and campus facilities at Thoubal College, setting a positive tone for the academic year ahead.
